Why Winterize your boat?
As winter approaches, you consider winterizing and storing your boat to protect it from the elements. In areas where the climate is still warm, winterization is sometimes known as “long-term storage.”
A boat must be appropriately winterized to avoid damage from possibly long sitting periods and cold weather conditions. If you do not winterize your boat, the repairs you will need to do when the new season begins may end up costing you more.
A boat that has not been winterized may rust because water will accumulate within it while it is kept for the winter.
These rust buildups clog the passages, causing the boat engine to overheat. Untreated fuel may cause serious fuel-related complications. There could also be further issues, like seal failure and gear case damage.
How We Winterize Your Boat
Thoroughly clean both the interior and exterior of the boat.
Clear the boat of all food and waste.
Empty all water sources aboard the boat, including the freshwater tank, bilge, and toilets.
Replace the engine's oil and filter in the boat.
Include antifreeze in the boat's cooling system, toilets, and sink drains.
Shield your vessel by using either a tarp or shrink wrap to safeguard it from harsh weather and elements.
Apply lubrication to all mobile components on the boat, such as the steering system, throttle, and shifter.
Securely store your ship, boat, or watercraft in a dry and safe location.
